The crowd was filled with talk of new trends, hair color and new products. Little did they know that their bank of beauty knowledge could promote their company and build their brand through social media outlets. We educated the beauty industry professionals on creative ways to market themselves through social media.

In the beautifully lit, swanky party room, we enjoyed food, drinks and lively conversation about connecting with current and potential clients through Facebook Fan Pages, Twitter and LinkedIn. From the beginning stages of social media involvement to active management, we explained the various steps beauty professionals can take to bolster their brand and consequently increase revenue. And did inquiring minds want to know! How do I connect to my clients on a more personal level? When should I post? How many posts a week? How do I target potential clients? What information do I put on my page? With every good question followed a useful strategy from our presenter and Interactive Specialist, Jessie Eckert.

Establishing an active Q&A at the end helped each individual take away a new piece of information they did not know before. Although seemingly simple due to its popularity, there is a finesse to creating a successful social media strategy.

The event was a great success!

Directly following the mixer, Bruna from Avola Lanza went home and created her own Facebook Fan Page! She saw the need and started her own presence within social media. That was our goal for the event, to connect beauty professionals to social media solutions. The beauty industry will never go away and social media will only continue to evolve. There will always be a demand for haircuts, facials, manicures and excellent service. With the use of a creative social media strategy, beauty professionals will always have the ability to build relationships with current and future clientele.
